The interaction of the state with the business must ensure stable growth of business activity

Business Ombudsman of Kazakhstan Bolat Palymbetov took part in an expanded meeting of the Regional Council of Entrepreneurs of Aktobe region. The meeting was attended by more than 300 heads of small, medium and large businesses. It was held at the building of the regional branch of "Nur Otan".

Chairman of the Regional Council of the Chamber Entrepreneurs Islambek Salzhanov noted that a strong institution, which consolidated all domestic business community, has been established in Kazakhstan for 2.5 years.

Ombudsman for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs Bolat Palymbetov said that during this period NCE received about 11,500 complaints of entrepreneurs. The lion's share of complains is about problems that hinder business development. These include issues related to the sphere of land relations, architecture and the work of the tax authorities. According to him, these questions are relevant for the Aktobe region. In general, local entrepreneurs are faced with the complexities associated with obtaining land and change of the purpose of use, taxation, as well as per capita funding when placing the state order in private pre-schools.

However, in spite of certain difficulties, the region has improved its performance in the ranking "business climate" and now is the second region in terms of favorable business climate after Astana. A good indicator of the interaction of business and Government, according to the Business Ombudsman, is the fact that out of 204 deputies of Maslikhats, 109 are entrepreneurs.

"We would like to see that interaction between the Government and business becomes a source of economic development and the solution of social problems, ensuring stable growth of business activity. We are facing major problems, the successful solution of which depends on our professionalism, competence, and we intend to fulfill them", - continued the business ombudsman.

At the meeting, representatives of the business community have voiced serious problems related to the inaccessibility of land, financial instruments.

Questions in the field of taxation were touched upon during the meeting. So, due to violation of the legal rights of businesses in terms of voluntary compliance with tax and any other obligations, it was recommended to the State Revenue Department of Aktobe region to stop the practice, which infringes the legal rights of businesses and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

"Today there is a situation that you need to join efforts: it is necessary to give more opportunities for business development, to remove all barriers and to open new horizons", - concluded Bolat Palymbetov.
